Commenting: How to be a DoucheI think *Whisperwings might have written a similar journal along the same line recently, but I wanted to throw in my two cents because really people? Really? It's not okay to jump on someone's artwork with snide remarks or ship-shaming comments like, 'Nice, but I hate this character/ship' or 'This is a lovely piece, but it's a pity about the pairing. I'm going to imagine it's [enter preferred ship or character] instead'. No. Fuck you. That's not critique. That picture is X and Y, and you have no fucking right to comment with that sort of selfish bullshit on someone else's hard work. There are plenty of characters and pairings out there that I dislike with a passion, but I don't search them out and trample all over the artist's feelings. Christmas with THE ANCESTORS...So my aunt and uncle were round for Christmas. Discovered a few things about my family. Like how we used to be stupidly rich and my mum grew up in a haunted old mansion, and my great grandfather was a little eccentric and bought an old submarine on a whim.
